Your guide to Airline Mile Reward Credit Cards

This article will focus on airline reward credit cards, which are not limited to one airline, but can be used to purchase tickets on over 250 major airlines.  Every airline requires a different amount of reward points to be used to purchase an airline ticket.  This can range from as low as 24,000 points to 50,000 points.  They typically offer you the option to get a regular domestic round trip ticket, usually for around 25,000 points, or a first class round trip domestic ticket for 50,000 points.  Redemption of points for International flights typically starts at 50,000 points for coach.  Many of the airline reward cards we offer give an introductory bonus miles award just for signing up.

These airline reward credit cards are becoming more and more popular, which is good for you as the consumer.  Their popularity has caused the credit card companies offering these types of cards to become very competitive.  Most now allow you to redeem these airline points on any airline, for any seat, with no blackout dates.  They also usually offer an introductory 0% intro APR for purchases or balance transfers during the first 12 months of usage.

Some reward mileage credit cards even offer more than 1 point for every dollar you spend.  Check out our list of mileage reward credit card offers closely to see which credit card is currently offering the best program.  They literally change daily, and we are constantly updating our site to include the most recent program offerings.  So for those of you who travel lots, the airline mile reward credit card may be the best choice for you.
